Does it bolt the seat to the floor ? Looks about the right length for the steering joint too…

Looks like a rogue bolt to me, not seen that type on a Dolomite.

Definitely a radiator bracket bolt.

Edit: On second thoughts, it looks similar to a radiator bolt but they usually have a spiral flute up the length of the bolt.

My first thought was a seat bolt, but it's not quite right for that either.

My second thought is that the thread pitch looks wrong for a 5/16" unf bolt, also its faintly yellow, which, together, strongly suggests 8mmx1. Try a 5/16" nut on it, my bet is, it won't fit and it doesn't belong on a Sprint.

Hehe, some good answers there!

Firstly, it definitely came off the Sprint and it looked genuine when taken off and secondly, it's yellow because every fixing on the car has now been zinc plated!

So
A - Seat bolt;
B - Rad bolt;
C - Steering bolt;
D - None of the above....

Oh, and it's definitely 5/16 UNF as I tried a suitable nut on it.....

If it came off the Dolomite then it's non original as no bolt on the car has a 'jap's eye' cut into the end of it like that...

If it is seat runner or radiator fixing bolt then as well as the rifling that Mart mentions, there would be a slight recess on the top of the head.

My vote goes to 'D - none of the above'

Seat - HU808D - 5/16 UNF x 1 inch with spigot pointed end

Rad - HU807D - 5/16 UNF x 7/8 inch with spigot pointed end

Steering - HB812 or HB810 - 5/16 UNF x 1 1/4 or 1 1/2

How long is it ?!
