Wanted, some parts after a mishap

After a minor engine bay fire (don't ask, the car has done less than 10 miles since returning to the road)
I am in need of a tandem brake master cylinder resevoir and the rubber elbow hose for the heater

Most other stuff is fixable, I think....
If anybody can help, please let me know.

Once I've had the garage door where I keep the core units repaired and can open and close it without spending an hour doing so whilst turning the air blue, I can probably find you a reservoir...

Excellent. No desperate rush

I have misdescribed the rubber part I need. It is described by Rimmers as Heater Demister Rubber Elbow - 709158. The floppy approx 3-4" diameter elbow from the fan motor into the car. I am sure I had one somewhere, but I have had a good rummage to no avail. Unless it is in my lockup, which is a vague possibility.

Meanwhile I am contemplating the job ahead, some repairs to wiring, and replacing a heater control cable. At least I had not yet put the parcel shelf back in. Small blessings.

Ah, yes, my lockup garage has a broken mechanism. I have emailed 3 suppliers with details to try to buy the bits, no repliues at all. Fustrating!

I have the most common kind of garage door that has a massive spring above it and wire cables on plastic reels either side, which only last a few years. I've been able to get parts to fix them from ebay for less than a tenner per door. And I know how to fix them, done mine half a dozen times in the last 30 odd years in this house. In fact, one needs doing at the moment, so I have parts in stock. It's the one I virtually never open thats gone, so I'm in no big rush to fix it!

It's for the garage at home I rarely use, the one in which CAB festers. It was broken into by the tatters 20+ years ago and the insurance company replaced the door with the style you describe. I expect it has been opened and closed no more than 50 times since! The cable on one side shredded the plastic helix and is now sitting on the floor, the bracket on the side of the door to which the cable fixes on the other side has both distorted and torn itself off the door. The two locking mechanisms at the top have never both engaged at the same time except when the insurance company came back to adjust it when of course they both worked perfectly. The one on the other garage at home was old when I bought the house some 30 years ago and still works perfectly (counterbalancing spring type). Time for a new door I think.
