Anyone on here ever been on a proper road trip?

Back in September, me and a fellow uni student went off to check the route for a planned Endurance rally - from Brooklands museum to the Taj Mahal, a quick jaunt of roughly 6700 miles. It took us 24 days of driving through the most varied and amazing scenery I've ever seen, and meeting some fantastically friendly people, in countries most Brits would never dream of visiting, such as Iran and Pakistan.

Of course, most people, when planning such a trip, would use a nice sensible 4x4. We were instead given a 1.4 CityRover....

A few of the many photos we took can be seen on the official rally website - http://www.himalayandrive.com - but don't pay too much attention to the 'recce reports', they were writen by the organiser, not by us!

No, it sounds like a bit of an odd choice! Almost as strange as a CityRover (The car pictured in my avatar, taken in the Iranian desert)

Lets face it, the CityRover was a strange choice full stop!
