Okay, this is now the official Adam MOT thread.

Will he make it to the garage on time, or turn up at about 1600 on a friday afternoon and p155 the examiner off before he has even started?

Not long now. Done a patch on the rear arch earlier. just waiting for the under seal to dry, the underseal that says it takes over night to dry...

Just apply the underseal IMMEDIATELY after you have finished welding for that quick dry effect  It burns the bristles of your brush and gets you as high as a kite, but what the hell... far less down time

But hang-on a minute your not applying 'structural' underseal are you ??. Anything over 1/4 inch deep does need time to dry to be effective though...sorry :fingerwag:

Failed on 2 bottom ball joints and 3 small areas of rust, in the cill, on the inner wing (where I hadn't done a proper job on fitting the front end) and by the tie bar mount on the body.

Had the MOT at a new Audi dealership as my mate works there. MOT man wasn't to happy doing an old car but the car really drew a crowd, 4 sales men came in to have a look round and talk to me about it and a few of the mechanics were having a look. Apparntly they've had W12 Bentleys in that didn't get as much attention! :D

So a fail but one that may not cost me anything to put right, other than a weekends work :)
