All for a bit of charity, but this lunchtime I walked from the office to Boots and back (about 25 yards) and had buckets waved in my face from three different groups of people weaing pyjama's and clutching teddy bears in a real "in your face kinda way".
Being the misrable git I am because of their OTT manor I didn't give any money.
Do I look like Terry Wogan or something? - now there's a man who could afford to put his hand in his pocket a few times a day.
Grrrrrr

Jamiroquai made a rather generous donation of £5000 I heard on Radio 2.
That's like me rather generously donating the massive sum of one pound.
Still, I've made a donation, but only so I don't feel like a hypocrite when I start plaguing people for sponsorship for the charity I'm driving to Banjul for...

So where are all these children in need?
Seems to me most children have far too much these days and absolutely no appreciation of it or how it is achieved.
Are the children in need those who furtively hang around in hooded packs, vandalising, mugging, requiring moral guidance, a imparting of a sense of right and wrong? Those who have a constant scowl of disgust, who spit, grafitti and litter our environments? Those who swagger with drunken fuelled violence and ill fated arrogance? Those who have no sense of achievement apart from their first asbo or production of underage or teenage pregnant 'girlfriends'? Those who seemingly have no good contribution to make to society and merely seek to erode the standards of decency, community and society? Those hatefilled venomous spiteful beings who would sooner take than give? Those who will grow up to spend their weekends in Broad St B'ham, St Marys St Cardiff, Sauchiehall St Glasgow getting drunk as lords, high as kites and vomitting in the gutter before crawling home after a good fight with the taxi drivers?
These children need more than your conscience pricked ten pound note donation.
Whilst you watch Terry and crew and sit misty eyed about last year's achievements what are the real children in need doing and do they care?
I'll bet they'll never own a dolomite too! (just to keep the discussion sort of related to the forum)

I played a charity concert on Friday night. Drove 90 miles to get there and people were still hassling me for donations. Sometimes it can go a bit far.
Although to be fair they do help a lot of children who are genuinely in need. I'd be angry if money went on sending ASBO'd kids to Barbados though.
