Nothing in particular, but I just wanted to say how pleased I am that this year has seen a real resurgence in the interest of the Triumph 1300, fitting really being the 40th anniversary of it officially going on sale.

I know of cars being restored and quite a few unknown ones coming to light through new members. And of course Justyn is on a mission of his own
Hopefully those we've seen on eBay will filter in this direction too.

Well done people, I'm proud of ya :D

Just don't tell Jonners....

Mark,

I echo those sentiments. I think you should not underplay the part those of us in the Club have played in this. In particular your regular articles in the magazine, and the fact that Practical Classics featured the car have done awareness generally no end of good.

I have horrendous domestic problems at the moment, but notwithstanding that, I hope to increase my tally very shortly indeed.

I also had a very enjoyable time meeting the previous owner of mine recently, and his genuine delight at the condition of the car and the fact that I continue to keep it that way were palpable.

We have said it many times, but these are exceptionally underrated (and undervalued) vehicles and it is about time they had their day. You are right to draw attention to the increase in interest, and I know that we will continue to try and maintain that interest between those of us in the Club who have a fascination with these cars.

I must confess. I am actually in the process of selling of all Dolomite related stuff thats not interchangable in favour of 1300 fwd bits.
I plan to make mine a fast road one.
So far I have a weber manifold for it and a pair of rear wings, thats really as far as I have got, however as soon as I have some cash from selling my bits off I will have some cash to play with and get a few more go faster goodies for the 1300.
I have noticed that GAZ have listings for adjustable shocks on thier website.
