Le Mans Classic

#1 Post by ecurie »

Is anyone goingto the Le Mans Classic this year (12-13 July).
I've been 2 years ago and it was the best event I ever went to.
Hopefully I can take the Dolly this year (if I can solve the running hot problem).

Dunno where we will be yet. I tried and tried to get camping tickets both online and via emails to the ACO. The web shite plain didn't work. And nor it seems do the cretins in the ticket office at the ACO. Now all tickets are sold out according to the web site so we'll just be turning up at the expo centre and refusing to leave until they find us something.

Years ago I joked that to get the tickets you want for Le Mans the first, most important thing to do is not be English. I don't think it's a joke any more. 17 times going and I've got the tickets I wanted once.

(sorry, didn't mean to turn you thread into a rant)

See you there.

Yep, I'm going but I am travelling in something less classy than a TR7 jonnPI, I'm in an MGB!!!! Oh well it does have a proper engine in it! You know the one (not the 'B' series!).
I'm staying at Hunaudieres thats inside Tetre rouge corner near Houx Annexe.
The doors of the MG are signwritten with my name and the driver...'Dodgy' (he is a car dealer).
So any of you are more than welcome to come and enjoy a cold, possibly warmish beer with us!

Oh we will be parked next to our wingman for the weekend.....a 1973 Holden (NZ new) also with a proper engine.

I'll be in Beaujesour (sp?) in A big blue peugeot van and a silver peugeot estate  I was almost hoping one would break down as my HL is the reserve car.

If you happen to be down that way look for the Union Flag gazebo.

Ah well, just have to drink instead of drive 8)

Have a good 'un

The Dolomite's wiper linkage has disconnected itself !!!
If I can't fix it before tonight (rain has been forecast), I'll have to take my Citroën C8 (Yuk!)
