And there I was wondering if you had robbed the turbo off an intercity 125 or something. :D

very tempting

may go on my bike. 1985, i guess thats retro

could even whack it down the strip, thatd be fun. problem is shes a bit feisty off the mark, probably flip it off the line and look like a right charlie sat there on my @rse watching it bounce down the road smashing itself to bits on the way.

still, bike vs car? [ahh, that old chestnut] i have yet to find a car that'll get from standstill to 100 quicker than a half decent 600-750-1000

up for it DF? you know you wana

PPS will sell bike if anyone wants it, £1000 cash, only put on here coz the pic is above, before people get emotional :wary:

11mths MOT 6mths tax

gsxr 750, 1985 (B). Original 4 cyl motor. 6 gears, (or maybe 5, cant remember, but they all work) dynojet stage 3 carb kit, K&N's are nearly new, scorpion stubby zorst, oxford eagle eye indicators, rainbow diffractor thingie in headlight, brand new pirelli front tyre, bridgestone rear (loadsa tread), renthal bars & grips, maxton springs in forks, GRP one-off custom tail fairing, twin tail lights (one LED one bulb, brake and light work in both), small-ish number plate, white dials with red needles and numpty lights from a bandit 400. original wheels, original frame, original tank, original forks. rewired with factory connectors

engine is oil/air cooled (notice radiator thing is actually oil cooler)
clutch is hydraulic

performance: compares well to ZX7R through the gears if you can keep the front down
0-60 duno but pretty quick (few seconds)
0-100 duno but pretty quick (quicker than most modern 2.0 cars will get to 60)
max 120 (with a little bit to spare)

you dont need to go any quicker than that on an unfaired bike otherwise you'll learn what instability and buffeting by wind is all about, and by the time you're there all 'normal' traffic is a LONG way behind you.
tickover a bit lumpy due to k&n's and set up, but put some load on the motor and its smooth as you like. give her some berries and she pulls like a train and you need good arms to hold on to her

revs top out at somewhere near 12k (but i've rarely had it anywhere near that)

no smoke (occasional flames), no rattles or dodgy noises, mot bloke said 'shes in fine fettle', roughly translated as 'pretty tidy and sound'

zorst will wake your great great great great grandparents, but it sounds nice, not stupid. its not as loud as my vtr was with blue flame cans

reason for sale - not much use, fancy a funky 'man scooter' instead, piaggio X9 500, yamaha XP 500 or something like that

pm's welcome, will use very rarely for couple more mths then shes off to 'bay.

thank you very much, thank you, im here all week.

:( only 2?? thats pretty disappointing actually, we've had a stand there before think?

i couldnt go, builder needs his mixer back monday so had to finish concreting the garage. plus gloria is still in a state of disrepair, clutch is too dodgy for any use apart from journey to a special place where magic happens.

i'd have loved to have gone, its a great show but saturdays arent really that good for me normally.

this should be on the list of shows to have a stand at, plenty of petrol heads, good for the marque, so well done to you , Mr F. your car should have its own stand anyway
