:bluewave: What can i say a belated well done. Its a real credit to your dedicatation and an insiration to us all who are mad enough to try the same .just enjoy .I will go over whats been happening over the next few days and making notes to help me during my restoration.
However atm i have to put the major body work on hold indefinatly :( The funds that were put by have now been diverted to the treatment of one of my golden retriever who is on chemotherpy for stomach cancer.

I may not aspire to be as concourse-y as you are Mike (hope that doesn't cause offence, really isn't intended too!), but the sheer enthusiasm, attention to detail and standard of work that has gone onto that car is definitely an inspiration to get out and crack on.
If mine can turn out even half as good as that, I'll be a happy bunny.

Just been directed to this thread to answer a question about pistons and am absolutely amazed at the dedication and care that has gone into the project. Never seen anything so good.

Awesome is a word used too often but in this case it is absolutely appropriate.

Mike you cannot be are a real person. Are you related to Mr Data on Star Trek?

This nut-and-bolt retoration was a true labour of love. Mike's defintely a real person having spoken to him on the phone and he helped me get Brown fixed after the driveplate failure I suffered on the way to the 2011 TDCIR by sending me a replacement driveplate. A true gent!

Yes he is for real, as Dave just said, a gentleman and a true ambassador for the marque.

Am I missing something here - are there supposed to be some pictures with this or is the proper thread elsewhere?

I think Mike had all his pictures removed? which is a shame.

Some of the platforms used for loading photos in the past changed from being free, to now having a fee - so photos were removed if you didn't subscribe.

It happened to me early on, but I noticed, so just reloaded them using another platform, but I only had a few to replace. If your thread has many pages like this one does, then it would be some task to reload the photos, and even trying to work out which you used.
