Fuel light

I often think to myself how useful it is to be distracted by a red light appearing on my dash when i go through a 90 degree corner at speed...
What do people to do get around this? is it just a case of disconnecting the light, or are there more elaborate methods?
Cheers,
Garth

I usually put more fuel in.
You can just disconnect one of the leads on top of the fuel tank.
Personally I would leave it connected. When I was driving around Silverstone a couple of years ago the light kept coming on, as I was down to a quarter of a tank. With all the fuel sloshing around (no baffles), the pump kept sucking air through the system & so the motor would keep dieing. Since then, I never let the tank get that low, so if the fuel light does start flashing, it's definitely time to add some more.

More fuel in = more weight
But seriously, I'm getting the light coming on with half a tank in - might need a bigger anti-roll bar ...
Speaking of misfiring, I might need to move my fuel filter - it's currently vertical near the carbs and i get a single misfire at WOT heading up a steep part of the circuit.
