I saw the car a few years ago at Manfeild. Not sure what class it was eligible for but I don't think it could run at 'Classic' events due to the interesting combinations that make up the drive train.

5k isn't a lot to pay really, and the prospect of another car and parts to go with it must be tempting.

swap out the v8 (which you'd sell) and put a sprint engine back in ?
