As a club we've been invited to the Stag Owner's Club's National Day to put on a stand. Info below:
National Weekend Uttoxeter Racecourse

Friday 7th to Sunday 9th August 2009
Uttoxeter Racecourse is centrally located in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside with easy access from the M1 & M6 motorways via the A50. The site is within 10minutes walking distance from the Town Centre and adjacent to a retail & leisure park which houses a Cine-Bowl, KFC, Frankie & Benny’s, Garden Centre, Tesco Superstore with 24hr petrol, Lidl, Giant Children’s indoor soft play to name but a few. On a recent visit to the site, the Organising Committee were very
impressed by the quality and extensive facilities which are available to us on this site.

This is just a brief insight into what we have on offer. Camping will be available on site for 250 pitches, with good quality toilet & shower facilities, There are a wide variety of hotels and B&B’s at reasonable rates within a few miles of the Racecourse. There are lots of local attractions to make your visit a fabulous weekend with discounts available on most of the sites which will be passed on in the booking information pack. The pre booked entry fee will be £5.00 per person for the weekend and under 16’s will be free. Camping & Caravanning is £10 per night per pitch available from Friday 7th
to Monday 10th August.

In addition to the usual National Weekend activities, we are planning a fish and chip supper for the Friday evening together with a skittles competition. Saturday we are proposing a number of planned trips to sites of interest, together with the traditional golfing competition and run out into the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

The Saturday evening’s entertainment will be held on site in the Premier bar which is fully equipped with fully licensed bar and servery facilities which will easily accommodate 250 people. The evening will start with a Hog Roast with a variety of meats, salads and desserts, fully licensed bar and a Barn Dance with a Live Band and Caller. Adults £15.00 and under 12’s £8.00 per head. For those who would prefer, there will be BBQ facilities provided outside and tethered hot air balloon rides in the sunset, subject to the weather conditions.

We aim to create a friendly family atmosphere for everyone to enjoy the weekend; you will be able to pre book tables to sit with your friends. Area stands will be allocated for the Sunday to enable you to park together and create your own area theme with gazebos and the like.

Sunday will be action packed with something for the whole family with over 20 triumph clubs invited, area games competitions including it’s a knockout, craft fair, trade stands, birds of prey, cars for sale, face painting, stags of special interest, auto test and many more surprises. The concours will held in the main exhibition hall next to the F1 car simulator, where the cars can be left secure from the moment you arrive, the categories split into Mk1, Mk2, Heavily Modified and the 30th Anniversary Car of the Year, all judged on a point’s basis with some nice glassware for the winners. The Car of the Year is open to all Stags and will be judged on condition, so you will not loose points for deviations from standard. There will also be a public vote for the best visiting classic. Uttoxeter Racecourse has won many prestigious awards for its facilities and is well acquainted with hosting car club and motoring events. The site is well presented and maintained to a high standard. We will ensure that everyone has a great time and that our 30th Anniversary National Weekend will be remembered for all the right reasons.

On behalf of the Notts / Derby Area I would like welcome you all to a very special SOC National Weekend for 2009. Booking Forms and more details are now available on the SOC website and in the Magazine. Early Hotel Bookings are essential as this is a very popular tourist area particularly in August.
