I use a coopers part no. Z121, which as said above is the bog standard unf spin -on for 80s - 90s fiesta/escort ohv and cvh. Normally costs me around £2 from my friendly motor factor (where i once worked) .It hasnt got a valve in the bottom as needed for our ohv engines but has never given me any ...

I think the word restoration can be only be used very loosely here, thats twenty quids worth of aerosol grey primer and masking tape from the local car boutique. They havent bothered to take anything off (what happened to the vinyl roof) and the bottom of the passenger door looks blown. I might go ...

Yes both engines are in one piece, one was removed as a runner and was quiet on the top end with standard size bearings and the other is an unknown quantity but the car was taken off the road because of rot. Spitfire wise a have a 1500 bonnet which requires wings for £20 and a good rolling 1500 ...

Ahh yes takes me back to 79 /80 as a boy when our then nextdoor neighbours had a couple of these in bright yellow. Always thought they looked very stylish against our ageing corsair !!!

Chrome trim

I bought 4 metres of the chrome (plastic) windsceen infill strip at the weekend for £1.50 a metre from Rarebits for classics if that helps. Apparently 4 metres should be enough for the front screen. I think he does mail order, Andy

Yes,been round to see this lot !. The guy is moving to spain in around 3 weeks time and is clearing out a few years worth. The cars are generally not good as have stood outside many years and have not run.
