The ballast is built into the loom, its a length of resistance wire, you would need to strip the loom to remove it. Far easier to run a new wire, but why do you need to? The ballasted feed / 6V coil idea is a good one.<br>

1: They take 15 mninutes to fit.<br>
2: Only 4 wires to connect, all wires have correct terminals already fitted.<br>
3: Details instructions supplied, with pictures.<br>
4: Keep your points, lose your condensor. A new set of points will last around 50,000 ...

Oh yes, better box this time, much better laid-out and still performing as well as ever. Hell, they're only 35quid inc postage, I don't know how I do it for the money!!<br>

I'm working on it Adam. I picked it up with 12KM on the clock at the end of April 2005 and it will pass the 150,000KM mark today, the first 50,000 of which were done very gently and the next 100,000 less so. She's only needed a set of injectors so far.... not bad for almost 4 laps of the globe.<br ...

I drive a truck which leaves time to use my brain for more interesting stuff.<br>

Finding petrol at 89.9p per litre, brimming the tank and rally-driving my poor little 1300 to Leicestershire and back with no regard for fuel economy. The return journey at 1:30am was brilliant. 3 hours sleep last night belongs under the other thread tho....<br>
