As I have far too many bumpers at home I shall not be bidding on these but surely has to be worth this just for the corner sections?
Strangest thing you've ever found in a used car?

Had a chap at work yesterday who part exed his old nail for another car. As is usual I decided to move the offending old heap round the back out of sight. I always check that no-one has left anything in the car like money, keys etc and we're unusually good at giving them back. Anyway I opended the ...

air show

Gre up nr Farnborough and many a plane used to fly past. Best by far was the Stealth Bomber which the yanks claimed flew from the US to franborough then flew back again having flown past. Dad works for BAe and the equipment he was working on at the time could track it (surface to air missile system ...

Went to an airshow once, Harriers are damn loud, wouldn't want to be where that guy was standing. Had a similar experience a few weeks ago. Quietly mowing the lawn if you can with a petrol flymo then whoosh a Tornado flew rather low over the top of my house causing me to nearly fall over. Thankfully ...

Definately worth hiring one though not sure how it would work on your car given that presumably the suspension and subframe is off so you can't attach it to the hubs? You can get them that bolt onto bumper mountings but having seen the state of by inner valance I wouldn't go near one.

Basically they are very similar just that as the years passed by and emissions regs got tighter little things changed. Later cars were given waxstat jets and poppet valves on the butterflies. The poppet valves just flood the engine with air on the overun leading to more complete combustion but can ...

HS6's

You could always use the 4p waxstat mod and keep the original crapstat look if you like. Modded mine to much acclaim, coupled to solid butterflies as they were very cheap it never fluffs on the overrun or runs like a pig when it's hot. By far the best 4 pence I have ever spent. Di notice though that ...

If you can find one it'd be a great engine to have in a car. Bet they ain't cheap though. Of course also found in various pugs, shitroens and Landies now.

bm's and veggie oil

Actually much more difficult than you might think. Firstly most BMW diesel engines are far too complicated to run on pure oil. Used vegetable oil does not contain the lubricating properties of diesel and will quickly turn you fuel pump, seals, lines and injectors to mush.
