Well spotted Graeme! I was going to do the May date. The TSSC competition Secretary has organised a for a number of TSSC people to enter it. It's one of those where you can enter a second or a third race at reduced rates as well. So, I think for 3 races it worked out at about £220. SOmething like that.

I'm probably going to use Anglesey as my running in/bedding in test session and enter Rockingham (2 weeks later) as my first race. If I go to Lydenn and blow something up or damage something then I'm unlikely to get it fixed for Anglesey.

Went to Silverstone today as a spectator. The TSSC/TR race was good but from a spectator point of view, the real racing happens mid pack. One of the V8's was 2 seconds a lap quicker than the nearest V8 and 6 seconds a lap quicker than a TR7 Sprint piloted by a very good racer (so I'm told). Therefore, the front of the field is a bit processional. It was great to see a 1300 Spitfire mixing with and beating TR4's and some TR6's. I had a passenger ride in the same Spitfire at Mallory and it was by no means un-exhillerating. Top speed of 120 and constantly revving between 5 and 8k! Rockingham should be a good one to watch as it suits the Spitties alot more than the TR's. Should give a good spectator race.

I'll more than definitely do the October Lydden date and anyone else joining me would be great, spectators or otherwise.
Should be OK. I would imagine they will split things into two groups, one for road cars and one for competition cars. Based on that they will have the 6 sessions done and dusted within 2 hours tops.

The price for the 3 sessions isn't too bad either. The tracks only a mile long so you should be getting around 15 laps per session in. Not bad for £75. Its got your name written all over it Phil! All those bends should suit that nice torquey V8 of yours.
