Keevil Track Day

#1 Post by MaddMart » Mon Aug 01, 2005 10:41 am

I've just booked a slot for the Keevil Track Day on Monday 22nd August. Should be a laugh. Anyone else thinking of coming along ?
Yep, same here.

I've put the std. Sprint airbox back on and I'm just doing a mod ala Jon Jackson but with 3" dia. not 4" flexi. Bro-in-law'ish is going to put it on the crypton tuner for me at the weekend.
Once again people dont know what they missed!

Despite being a tad damp in the morning I was surprised how grippy the track was.

Big thanks for letting me have a play in you car Mart - I had forgotten how much fun a tuned Dolly is to drive fast and near the limit (which I found a few times!) I'll return the favour when (if?!) mine is ready next season.

Hope you managed to blag a ride with Rich to see how it compares with Dans Mildy tuned 318<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Did your fan belt stay on?
That was great. I still have a grin on my face this morning. After you'd gone I put on my other wheels & had some sideways fun, Dan was well impressed with the Sprint. Was pulling away from Mark's mini all the time. Didn't have time to go round with Rich unfortunately.

Fan belt came off once more but not until I'd done a couple more sessions. Had to take it steadier than usual on the way home as I don't think there are any front brake pads left, nice metal to metal noise from the front <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek">
Sounds like you had fun Martin. I'm hoping to get out and play soon. Who would have thought that you would have more track time than me this year!!!
