Well Done Scott,

I must be satisfying to finish a race after such a long time in preparation.

Reminds me of the first time I went Sprinting thinking i had a pretty quick car and should be competive. Serious reality check when I was 15 seconds slower than the fast boys who had been doing it for decades!

Persevere and I'm sure you'll be in the mid field before long.

Absolutely. I had a massive grin on my face and was punching the air with delight. Must have looked a right Tw@ rolling across the line in last place gesturing as if I had won!

At Brands I was about 4 seconds a lap off the pace of the good Sprints (Osborne, Crudgington, Clarke). Yesterday, I was 10 seconds off their pace. It's definitely engine set-up related. When I was being lapped, I could stay with people though the corners, onto the straights they would just disappear and I had my foot buried!

Onwards and sidewards as they say!

I'll put the Thruxton date in my diary...ooo I don't have a diary. Anyway, I'll probably be there as long as I'm not doing a trackday on that date.

Well done Scott! 10 out of 10 for sticking with it, what's the series like? how many starters in your race?
It's a lot cheaper to race in your series than 'other series' and you get a lot more races per season.
I shall be at Mallory on Tuesday with Ken, be great if you come along, I think Martin will be there aswell.

Hi Bob, yep I'll be there. I know of 2 other Sprints going aswell. One will be Jon Jackson with his bike carb setup. Should be interesting.

I've just found this very sad picture of Tony's car. He hit the pit wall in practice apparently. I hope to see the car speedily repaired. It's a great shame as it had alot of damage at Brands hatch last year in practice as well.
Bob. I think there were around 17 entrys for the PHTC on Sunday. The problem is that there is a race on Saturday/Sunday at Snetterton. IMO, people have opted for one or the other as they didn't want to risk a problem in the opening race and then not be able to make Snett. At least that was why I only entered one.

I would imagine that there will be nearly a full grid at Mallory/Thruxton.

Overall, they seem like a friendly bunch. Everyone seems to help out and as you say, the race entries aren't too bad. Although the trade off against 'other series' is that ours are typically 15 or 20 minute races rather than 30 min races, but TBH, that suits me.

There are a broad spread of cars which makes it interesting although the Jag V12 tends to win most funnily enough!

Not sure if I can make Tuesday but I'll try. I waved at Ken the other day at silverstone as I was driving down pit lane after the race, I think he recognised me or the car.
Looks like Tony got the car back together. I reckon Adam gave him a little help!
