Electronic Dolly Mixture Magazine.

Would it be possible to get my Dolly Mixture Magazine delivered on CD rather than hard copy?<br>

As I live on the other side of the world to were the magazine is printed, I thought that it might work out cheaper in postage for TDC as well as it would be easier for storage at home. PDF format would be ideal, but it would also be acceptable if the pages were just scanned and saved on a disc.<br>

I'm sure this has been discussed before but with some disappointing reactions IMO. There seemed to be an anti-electronic opinion just because a few members arent online and people like paper.<br>
<br>
I think the club should go a step further and create downloadable versions of the mag in a members only area - no delays, no postage costs, no printing costs - all saving money from the club coffers. <br>
<br>
How about a rethink guys?<br>

Where as I like to have a the hard copy I do think that offering another format is a good idea. The Triumph Dolomite And Sprint Club do exactly that, they send you the hard copy (sometimes) and post all the old copys of the mag in PDF on a password protected members only area on their web site.

It would be really good to have all the technical articles available, so I could print off a copy to look at while working.

There is some work in this direction going on. After a similar discussion a while back I volunteered to scan and pdf the back catalogue. It's a very time consuming process even with all the automation scripts I've written. I'm now working on a whole load more to process the A5 format scans. Once the back catalog is available electronically I can't see how we wouldn't have the new ones available too.<br>
