LONDON (Reuters) - Former Minardi owner Paul Stoddart complimented Briton Katherine Legge on Wednesday after she became the first woman in more than a decade to test a Formula One car.

"She's definitely got what it takes to be a Formula One driver," said the Australian after the 25-year-old, who races in America, completed 27 laps at the Vallelunga circuit near Rome.
Ive seen Katherine race in kart's and boy she is quick,
She's gonna break some heart's on and off the track.
One to watch I reckon.
Re: One to watch
Is anyone still watching F1?

What with A1, Grand Prix Masters and proper racing with GT's and the GT Aston, new GT3 Aston, new Porsche, new Audi...

I spose I might watch the odd boring F1 next year, purely technical reasons.

There is only one form of motorsport. It involves driving at 100+ MPH through forests!!!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Re: One to watch
I went to the inaugural A1GP at brands - really good day out with brilliant support races and plenty to entertain the crowds. And the ticket price was only about £30 ish. I'd go again.

Compared to F1 where you get ripped off at every opportunity with typical general admission prices at 80 quid and they treat the spectators like filth.

The GP masters was interesting to watch Mansell and Fittipaldi going for it - something I was a bit too young to appreciate the first time round.

F1 is still the pinnacle with the best drivers and best technology - they just need to learn to entertain the crowds. Shame they are dumping the V10's though.

As for the lady driver in F1 - it has to be a good thing. No only can she drive the fast cars well, she also scrubs up well www.gokatherine.com/

I just want to see Button balling his eye's out when he get's beaten by a girl again.

Just hope she get's the deal she need's.
And she does scrub up very well.

F1 I'll rather watch Rossi blitz the field in Moto GP and that Suzi Perry enought said I think.
Re: Rally
Moto gp all the way for me, closely followed by british touring cars, and Seat Cupras.

Moto GP far more exciting than formula one, in fact I have to say F1 has bored the crap out of me since the mansell and damon hill years.

Touring cars and one make leagues are always fun to watch as the racing is much closer, its more down to the driver as the cars are all much more closely matched.

but as far as the formula 1 bird goes, yep, bring it on, seriously, fair play to her.

and just so im not showing that im too in touch with my feminine side, not only could she drive you to and from the pub much quicker, but probably have a more interesting conversation with you than "shopping" while shes making dinner or doing the ironing.
Re: Rally
Just an observation here

Rossi dominates in Moto GP and every one loves the sport.

Schumacher dominates (pre 2005) in F1 and the sport gets labelled boring.

I still love F1 but the format does need to extract its head from its arse.

Touring cars rock though.

2004 Smart Roadster (company car!!) - 698cc of turbo'd adrenaline fuelled rollerskate - destined to classic status thanks to Daimler Chrysler bean counters.

1997 Audi A4 2.6 to chill out after the above and fill with baby products.....

2005 Trek 1400 (ok its not a car but still fast) -
a bit like Lance Armstrong but slower and fatter

Re: Rally
Was Legge in the MG ZR cup this year or was it Cupras? I know there was a couple of females racers. Whoever it was was never more than 4th or 5th position.
