I'm considering a welder but don't have any use for it in the immediate future. Is it worth buying one just to prat about with for when I do need to do some work....

To be perfectly honest, it depends on how much cash you have to spend.<br>
£300 odd plus for a decent kit that doesnt just run on tiny bottles.<br>
It might be worth doing a course at night school or getting someone local to teach you before you splash out.
