Re: VBH
I was at that race. A mate of mine owns one of the hospitality boxes on the pit lane so we were mixing it up with all the drivers and eating all the free food, had a chat with VBH, she`s a bit rough up close. The Merc was just brilliant....

This might wet your whistle a bit. Short interview with Melling talking about the engine as well. This is with the standard exhaust by the sounds of it. Mines alot more pronounced! Did you get the box ok?
Re: AJP in a Sprint
Have the T5 gearbox complete with the correct AJP Bellhousing internal clutch slave cylinder.
Bloke has a LSD type diff for sale as well no good to me.

Have two choices for head's X TVR race head's £350 a pair or again a blown (Crank/Rod failure) AJP 4.2 Engine in boxe's £600 with good head's and a alternator and fuel rail.

Very quick measure up last night lenght and width is nearly the same but is about 2" taller may have to have the inlet's Tuscan race car style (Poking via the bonnet)?.

Clarkson praising a car never thought I hear that.

Heads
I've heard the race heads differ in some way although I've heard people have put them on. There are a few threads on PH currently talking about it. Alternators are probably in the £150 region. Fuel rail, I've no idea.
From the other day. That's more than some of the 4.5's that have been on the same rollers. The good news was that it was running very well (Touches wood very quickly and no Graeme, I'm not on punternet!!)
if the figure's for the AJP Sprint turnout close to your's Scott.

The Spainard was disapointed with his mind (4.5 Cerb),

Some 40+bhp down on the figure supplied by the Engine tuner,
(Not gonna name and shame but quoted 390Bhp.)
And a few quid lighter in the wallet?.

I thought he also had the cat's removed.
10k I think was mention.

Its going fairly well at the mo.
Have most of the engine now which is going to the engine bloke for checking hone ETC.,
Gearbox is at the rebuilders for a new input/Layshaft and straight cut 5th gear's,
Found a standard ECU that's going to be collected soon,

Was hoping for a quick go at SRR but the roadworks stopped that.
That would be great Santa Pod would be ideal? no speed limit's.

Did you speak to the guy with the Skoda Octava RSI 224.9Bhp and 235lb ft Torque.
and chatting to him done a 171mph on a speed run.
Re: Re:I'll be happy
I definitely think he towed the line a bit more in those days. I actually cringe at the following line more,

"Yes, the cerbera is a comfortable beast...................if you are tall." It's the mammoth pause before the 'if you are tall'!

The truth appears to be that the car he used in those road-tests had the 4.5 style intake trumpets and was closer to an actual 360bhp that they quoted. The factory basically pullled something a bit special out of the bag to give them a bit more oomph. Mind you most factories do that I suppose.

I'm now intrigued Phil because I seem to remember where he said that he had the work done. MBE remap, injector upgrade etc. So his only made 350 on SRR's rollers? Not much difference between the 4.2 and 4.5 is it really. Someone mentioned mine was the same output as a RedRosed Speed Six Tuscan.

Alot of people have gone on the board talking about there 440hbp this and that but most won't take the trip down to SRR to have a run done to verify. SRR are one of two that are used as the benchmark rollers. I'm considering taking my dolly down there when its back together and put the question mark over my engines power to bed once and for all.

When the engine swaps done, you will have to let me have ago in it and you can have a run in the cerbie to compare! You are going to love that engine.
