Stolen Dolly

#1 Post by Paul » Mon Jan 16, 2006 12:56 pm

Hi All, unfortunately i had my Dolly sprint registration CHM 4V stolen some months back which was very upsetting and disapointing as i had'nt owned her that long. the insurance has paid out (well done Footman James) but i would still like to know her fate. at present the insurance company have no record of her being found and i have not been contacted by the local authorties to collect her. If she is still about then i would be interested know if only to contact someone to pass on the lever arch file of history that i had on the car.

maybe putting some distinguishing features together so that any prospective buyers could tell yours from another prospective purchase.
Given how easy it is to "ring" any dolomite....

What colour was it and where was it stolen?

Chances are if it wasnt joy-ridden and dumped it could go 2 ways...
Parted out....

Hidden in a lock up til hue and cry dies down and a new "identity" becomes available. Then sold on to unsuspecting customer.

Its a lot of work for a prospective thief to earn a mere 2 k so I reckon the part out is the most likely....
Sorry to here of your loss, I love russett too.
What astounds me is, if the car has been broken why our network hasn't heard of the parts for sale.
I watch the bay, I would advise you to do the same.
Give us as much detail about the car as you can. Chassis number, trim colour and any marks to look out for.
Although I suspect the clever bastar<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/mad.gif ALT=">:"> s will be watching this too.
yes, this was the one with no bumpers and LSD although i had refitted the bumpers and changed the springs to bring her back to her original ride height. as for distinguishing marks none that i can think of but i would now her if she ever surfaced. Unfortunately i have sent back my log book to footman james so i don't know any numders to list, Sorry.
