Your thoughts on this

#1 Post by Carsreunited » Wed Mar 08, 2006 5:05 pm
I'd be a bit worried of the car jumping out and accelerating through the garage doors/wall.
I definateley wouldn't fancy that <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> . On the rollers I've been to they have a strap in each corner which is rawl bolted to the floor.

That would be great for mapping your own EFI system using a wideband Lambda sensor for tuning.

No buggering about trying to drive around with a laptop plugged in!
I suppose the thing to do would be to drive it to a nice open space and put them on the rollers, but that somewhat defeats the main selling point. Would still work for you though Graeme.

Would the fact that no real load is being put through the wheels/transmission affect the accuracy of the tune? I would imagine those rollers don't have very much resistance.
£475 plus VAT <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> I'm sure I could knock something up for a lot less than that. I can just imagine it...sat in the Sprint, 80, 90, 100 mph <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

They maybe ok if you've got something to plug a computer into but not a lot of good for a Dolly.

Be perfect for Adam. No old ladies pulling out on him & no way would his Dolly come off the rollers at the speeds he reaches. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

I have a photo of a Sprint showing 140 on the clock somewhere and it wasn't Darren's!
