Ever been overcharged by your bank/credit card company?

#1 Post by dollybird72 » Mon Apr 10, 2006 2:57 pm

Someone at work has told me about the campaign that Which? are running at the moment.

The article below gives details on how you can apply to your bank/credit card company to have excessive charges on overdraft limits/late credit card payments etc. reimbursed to you - going back for the last 6 years (so I am told).

As for what would be classed as excessive, in terms of late credit card payments it is anything over £12.

If you know anyone who could benefit from this, please pass the details on.
Re: I've been overcharged by a solicitor ...............!

I received a letter a couple of weeks ago from the accountancy department of a local solicitors, telling me that I'd been overcharged on the sale of my flat that I sold THREE YEARS AGO!!!

I've recently received a cheque from them for £103.00 <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Just goes to show that:

a) Solicitors do overcharge sometimes (ok, probably all the time!).

b) On extremely rare occasions they do own up to it <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">
