Botty Comfort

#16 Post by Silvery » Fri Apr 14, 2006 5:04 pm

Seats in a Spit? Well, anything is possible with a big enough hammer I suppose!<br>
<br>
The 1300fwd seats are as near to Dolomite seats as makes no difference wqhen it comes to fitting them in not Dolomites/ fwds. I'm still 100% sure the Dolly and 1300 rears are the same (other thanarm rest/ no arm rest spec variation), and I'm pretty convinced hl seats are as near to 1300fwd seats as makes not a vast amount of difference. Neither of which I can see would fit in a Spit without much chopping and hammering to either the seats or the Spit!

Getting a bit of topic here but there is a solid looking (and rare) 1300TC in this months Practical Classics Rust in Piece collection of scrap cars.<br>
<br>
This one is in a scrapyard in Buxton (if I remember correctly) if anyone needs further details of the scrapyard please post on here.

The rear seat backs on the 1300fwd are different in shape to that on the 1500fwd/dollys so they will not fit but i think the seat base is the same. <br>

The 1300fwd doors are the same shape as Dolly ones, but have different catches and fittings, so would take some work to actually fit to a Dolly.<br>
<br>
Besides that, it's not like Dolomite doors are exactly hard to come by in useable condition! <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END-->

No problem mate. I'll wrap it up and get it down to the post office when everything returns to normal after the chocolate egg season. Send me a message via the inbox thing with your address details. Cheque or postal order would be preferable to the robbing gits at PP if thats ok with you.<br>
<br>
Cheers<br>

Doors

#27 Post by Silvery » Sat Apr 15, 2006 2:08 am

That'll be a carmine car you're wanting doors for I take it, from the pics posted elsewhere?<br>
<br>
I might be able to help, will need to check what I've got, and what I need, and I'm a bit of a hike from you though.<br>
<br>
Need to raise cash to spend on cars and critters, so it looks like I might go a bit further with the clearout than originally planned. Let me know if you're interested and which doors you need, and I'll try and find out what I've got by the end of the week...

Farming Frenzy

I'm in the pits of Dorset - Ask Adam, he found the place eventually, and I don't think he's ever recovered from breathing the local air!<br>
<br>
So not exactly close to you, though not a massive distance, more just crappy roads (this county isn't exactly blessed with transport routes).<br>
<br>
I had 3 good doors off the poomobile, one is now on the TC, and there's 3 doors on the carmine car, though I don't know how many are good. I should in theory have a good set bar the drivers I think, but in what mix of colours I don't know <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START : --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <br>
<br>
Should also have a good poo brown or carmine bonnet - Got three, only need one, and the car it's for will be resprayed anyway.<br>
<br>
Had more expense today (some pretty much useless as it turns out), so it's more and more likely I'll actually get off my backside and sort stuff that people might want to buy...
