I've just inherited a car from a deceased relative. I'm now trying to figure out what I need to do to tell the DVLA I now own the car. Has anybody been in this situation before?

Question about inheriting a car
Re: Question about inheriting a car
If it was left to you in the will the executor of the relative's will may need to write a letter to DVLA with the signed V5 (on behalf of the deceased) explaining the transfer. This is how we dealt with the disposal of my Father's car. If it was gifted to you by the inheritor of the estate strictly speaking it should pass through the estate and on to you but a letter may save the apparent extra owner on the V5
