After much thought on this subject of weight saving and over inflated tyres I fully concur and endorse Jod's view on this chap!

More weight saving / performance enhancing measures:

Drain all fluids to the minimum mark on the dipstick / expansion bottle etc.

Inflate tyres to 50PSI to "reduce tyre slouch and improve grip" using HELIUM - thereby improving performance and reducing weight at the same time.

Remove all unrequired seats to reduce weight. After all, not many people would be volunteering for co-pilot duties with all the crazy performance you are generating. People would be too scared to ride in such a performance machine.

Hang more glassfibre panelwork and aerodynamic modifications onto the outside of the car. Decent panelwork with its aerodynamic improvements will reduce the weight of the car when in motion, due to airflow stuff. And things.

Ensure all bodily fluids etc are drained as far as it practicable before driving, reducing weight.

Thats it, I'm out of ideas. Any more?
Don't wash the car as minute particles of dirt dispurse the airflow better on downforce creating objects at subsonic speeds.
Although the extra w8t might cause some concerns on a very subsonic object such as a Vauxhall!

I don't quite understand this one but round here the chavs go faster when the cars full of 12 year old Chavettes

It's all to do with the amount of airflow generated inside the car. If the boot is unlatched and the speakers are facing rearwards!
