I'm sure that a few of you know far more about PHPBB than I do, so maybe you could give me a bit of advice please?<br>
What OS does it prefer? Which is the best/simplest database to install for it to use? Any other things I need to know?<br>

would be to go down the debian Linux route and use mysql and tomcat, but I do this computing lark for a <br>
living. I therefore have a predisposition agains Bill gates outfit and like the techy and esoteric that may not suite everybody...<br>
Lewis will have a point of view doubtless...<br>

I'd go linux too. If anything I think the support is better for PHPBB on linux then for MS and as a big plus it's free.

We've got someone on the case now, but it'll take a bit of time to set up.
