3 months worth of breakdown cover for £1.00 ....!
Went to Halfords this afternoon to get some indicator bulbs for Molly. When I got home I discovered a couple of vouchers in the placky bag!

The voucher is for 3 months worth of breakdown cover for £1.00 !!! The voucher is valid up to Mar 07, and all you have to do is phone up and register, giving the voucher number to activate it. There's no obligation to continue your cover after the 3 months duration, but if you do want to, even the "all singing all dancing" breakdown cover is only £59.99 for the year.

Anyway, I don't need one, as my breakdown cover is included in Molly's insurance, so if anybody wants details please let me know.

Well Alun, Gosport is a town and it is by the sea . Lots of people stay here when they visit Portsmouth, because it's cheaper than staying over the Portsmouth side ...... enough said really!

the reason for the store code is so they know who the tight arses are.
Alun ..there is nowt wrong with gosport.. except that its near pompey , its shite , over rated , over priced, the spiniker tower (spelt wrong)- complete waste of tax payers money, bars that charge £5 a pint , but there are some nice folk nearby (in southampton)
Lived in Ashburton Road, Southsea for a while and used to cycle over to Gosport for some knobby lesson that I had once a week. Did all 3 of my driving lessons in Pompey before doing my test. Was a strange place. Never really felt like home. A disturbing mix of sailors, students and locals made for an interesting night out.

Theres no point in turning this into a whats better portsmuff of souampton. Go with democracy and stick it in googlefight (Southampton beats gosport, southampton beats portsmouth, portsmouth beats gosport) - Sorry debs. Mind you someone originally from portsmouth would always try and solve things by starting a fight wouldn't they!

I agree....
There is absolutely no point in comparing Pompey with Southampton. Its like comparing Birmingham with Aston Villa...
We all know only one of them belongs in the Premiership and thanks to Mr Lowe and Harry the turncoat its the wrong one...
I don't ......
..... come from this area originally, and if I could afford to move I wouldn't live in this area either All Gosport High Street has is estate agents, banks and 50p/£1 shops . It's only got one main road in and out (A32), and in peak travelling times it can take anything from 30-45 mins just to get out of here .

It's also too built up, but as I was brought up in the countryside, I guess I would find anything too built up
The 'no' was in relation to these words and in this order, with increasing emphasis:
Plausible
I was born and bought up in Winchester, which being one of the richest city thanks to the Winchester collage and the history surrounding the city. it too is full of banks , estate agents and upperclass clothing/ bling bling shops but thankfully has one of the highest number of pubs per mile in europe.
Re: I don't ......
Emsworth or chichester would have given it a run for its money at some stage, but now they are turning into 'swanky' restaurants and being knocked down for houses. I think Emsworth had 13 pubs in less than half a mile and chichester had over 50 within the city walls. Neither are so good now. Perhaps I should spend more time in winch!
find one with a good dolly car park and we could meet up there (once I have one of the fleet working!)

Re: I don't ......
the only good dolly car park is the hachet inn on the A27 , sherfield English (near romsey) as some of you know it has a brown 1850 in the garden which was turned into a plant pot by the managers wife.
Since I finally
got a dolly running with tax and test (and clutch) today (albeit, short of interior and generally a bit scruffy) I'm up for a meet. Anyone else?

I'm very busy over the next couple of weeks Dave, in fact I'm busy up until HPOM in 3 weeks time. (Has Justyn told you about HPOM at Broadlands?). But after that I would be happy for a meet up I'll e-mail you off line.
