rag top herald 13/60 for sale.

#1 Post by pmn74 » Sun Sep 03, 2006 3:14 pm

Hi all, was out and about in the sprint today. and on the way home saw a convertable herald 13/60 for sale, up the road! So i stopped and had a chat with the owner, he's had the car for 30 years (second owner) and says he no longer feels safe driving Its a 'J' reg so is tax exempt, maroon in colour, looks sound to me, needs a clean tho. Mileage is about 86000 but he says he had a relacement engine 6000 miles ago, bodywork is in good condition 'cept for a clean, tax and mot, hardtop, loadsa spares, and he only wants £1500 fer it! Says he would like it to go to a triumph enthusiast, like him. I have no vested interest in the sale, but said i would ask the TDC lot, see if anyone was interested and he gave me his number. So, anyone out there...........................

Not me but a mate, I'll pass it on but I don't think he's serious enough to go that far.
I am listing the car on Ebay for the owner - my uncle. As you say he has had the car for 30 years and it has been his daily driver for as long as I can remember. It has received a lot of interest and I suspect it won't last the full 10 days on ebay!
Cheers
