Personally, I think there were very few things wrong with the princess. IMO It looked quite good, went quite well, and was comfortable. What was wrong was:<br>
<br>
6 different brands selling it.<br>
No hatchback, even though it was originally designed for one.<br>
poor drivetrain.<br>
<br>
By that point BL was out of control and making far too many cars that encroached onto other's territory. For example, Rover SD1 and Princess with the same 2 litre engine. Also allegro and marina, Dolomite and marina, mini and metro, Spitfire/Midget/MGB/TR7/GT6, the list goes on. Shame really, if it had been done properly it might have been a world beater.

The Princess looks far batter than standard, less cheese like. Almost SAABesque.<br>

The Allegro is just amateur, and the background looks like a jigsaw puzzle!
