when I

#46 Post by redrichie » Thu Aug 31, 2006 6:37 pm

When I gave up smoking last new years I ballooned to almost 14 stone. I have a (fairly ) active job as well. The smokes won again about April time, and I am back down to my normal weight of 11 3/4 Stone; which I have been since I was 18.

It's my metabolism . So, what way do I choose to kill myself? Lung cancer or morbid obesity...not much choice either way to be honest. Maybe I'll be lucky and get squashed by the number 49. Who knows....

I'm 5'10", 36" Waist and 15 Stone. I think I'm bordering on obese if not already there. I noticed recently that I can feel my face wobbling when I drive over the rumble strips before a roundabout. Maybe thats the rock hard suspension on the Elise but its still a worry. I'm trying to do something about it and get back to 13 stone which is my weight at 17 or so.

You are exactly 30 my friend, right on the border between ordinary fatty and obesity.

I put it down to muscle being denser than fat myself 5'10" too, 33" waist 47" chest (but that has started to wobble independently now too as well as all four cheeks, but then I am 40 on Monday and have been blaming the elise for 9 years now.

Talking of the elise, have you experienced chest pains yet? I did when mine was new, all that getting in and out using rib muscles you never use until...

Yep. Sometimes i get a cramp right on the sternum. Can't see them being popular with pensioners when we are pensioners! Loving every minute driving it at the moment. Had to tighten the drivers window winder mechanism up the other day as it was getting stiff and rattling. Other than that, turn the key, throw £33's worth of petrol in every 250 miles and away you go.
Stupid 3000 year old biddie, barbera cartland lookalike. Dodders up to her fookin great merc abandoned so pissed only 3 wheels are in her bay. Opens the door bang into the side of Orange then leaves it touching while she flumps down into the seat. EeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeKKK! goes the contact point as the suspension settles.

So I get out and check for damage, fortunately there was none. Looking at the profile I think her door edge ran down the rubber door strip. If I'd been in an early car there would have been plenty of damage.

So I knock on the window and very politely inform her of what she has done (she hadn't a clue) and again politely ask her to be careful in future. I think I got a load of abuse back but can't be sure. She was so decrepid she could not even sit up straight never mind turn her head towards me as she spoke. The noise she made really was inintelligble gibberish but the tone didn't come close to making me think there was a hint of apology in it.

Now it's a shame the human body can deteriorate to be such a shadow of what someone somewhere probably once loved, and maybe someone still does. But why the hell is a person who can't even sit up straight enough to see over the massive steering wheel of their bus and so detached from this little place called planet earth that they don't notice what they are doing allowed out in charge of a lethal weapon?
When i go into a car park be it in the fiesta or the triumph i always park it in to spaces...ok some people think thats just dam right selfish but hey i think that when i come out and theres damage to my car and they cant be arsed to come in, find me and say sorry!! the other day my old lady was sitting in safeway car park and a old person came in, went to park and somehow bashed into someones car caused damage and then drove off!!
i hate people like that as they would have enough to say if we did it to thre car!! and of course they'd be always right!! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

Have you ever noticed though that no matter how far away you park, when you get back to your car, someone has parked right next to you, even though there are lots of free spaces.
I always drive the beater to the supermarket nowadays, ever since some t!*t put a nice swage in the side of my Prelude. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

My old boss used to use two spaces when he bought his AMG55. I did laugh at his palpitations once when he saw some woman had taken advantage of the extra space to pull her trolley between his and her car to unload it into her back seats
