Luckily I didn't get hit but I was in traffic this morning, and I saw a lady doing the school run...in an '06 BMW M5.

Selling my Nissan on ebay, then finding that some scrote had smashed the passenger window quaterlight to have a shufty through the golve box. Auto-windscreens want £220 to replace it. All the scrote had to do was slide the very rear window open as they don't lock properly.
Ah well, I didn't realise it was a VR6. I had a 1990 GTi as a loan car whilst my Cerbera was being fixed and it wasn't a bad drive.
Mental twat of a bar lady in the pub earlier.

As it was my last day in work a group of us (about 10) went for a drink. Had trouble buying my second pint as I was with 2 people without ID and she wouldn't serve them soft drinks! Once I'd got myself my pint I was told I couldn't go sit out in the beer garden as I could give it to one of the others who didn't have ID! I was imprisoned in the pub! Thought ahh bollox to this and went outside with pint in hand. 10 minutes later mental bar lady comes out to the beer garden to collect glasses "don't bother coming in again, your barred!" "Good I won't be coming back!" One of my mates cherps up, basically accusing her of talking bollox. Were pointed to the manager, "if you don't wanna listen to me talk to him!"
Mate takes her up on the offer and begins speaking to the manager. Turns out she is talking bollox and I'm not barred.

Re-reading that lot and I've missed so much out it's almost not worth reading. Ignore the above

I feel so many negative waves Scott......

Nothing annoyed me today, zip, diddly squat.

Managed to grab a couple of ours sleep between shifts and finish at 02:10, so only an 11 hour shift!
Grrrr.

Spent 40 mins or so wrapping the 1500 exhaust fanimold in the excellent webbing supplied by dollyboy. I was very careful not to put more than one layer in the area of the zero access lower fixings. It was still too much. After nearly an hour of f###ing about trying to get the nuts on I gave in and took the wrapping off.

So then as I tightened up the downpipe nuts on their shiney new studs one ripped out of the manifold. Why oh why did I listen when the bod at the engineering company told me only two holes needed helicoiling?

Whats annoying me now as I head for the shower to try to get rid of all the glass fibre I'm wearing is the knowledge that I'll never meet the <jodderism> that designed the 1500 manifolds. FFS, if the carb fixings had been canted outwards at the bottom instead of inwards it'd be a piece of piss. Then there's the puny studs. I'd so like to meet him and explain with the aid of something blunt what I think of his quality of work.

On top of all that I've very little confidence this thing isn't going to leak again due to the state of the downpipe flange. Can I separate the downpipe bottom joint do you think? Can I arse.

Total waste of a day.

Now I'm going to have to drive home like a total knut on Monday and again later in the week to get the manifold to/from the engineering company. Its a 37 mile journey, all but 7 motorway, I finish at 15:30 and the target is 17:00. Doesn't sound like a challenge does it? It is. Twice a miserable day.

Boo hoo.

XR4i on ebay as spares or very optimistic repair due to massive rust bug attack on the rear arches, rear sill ends (inner and outer), front bumper mounting point and other places no doubt. Too much to do really. I was hoping that it wouldn't be this bad. So much for an interesting daily driver. Anyone got any ideas to replace it with summat interesting. Anyone got anything interesting going cheap?
bloody idiot in a skoda on the A36 driving on the centre line at 55mph blocking my view ahead making it difficult to pass.whenever we came to a straight strech the skoda would speed up to 65 and obscure even more of the road. then he stopped on the approch to a roundabout although there was not another car in sight<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:"> i made it a 2 lane roundabout at that point
Julian,

I know it's a bit late, but my tip for the day is when one hole in a group needs a helicoil, do them all. Every time. Then they'll never need doing again. I now do exhaust manifold holes and cam bearing caps as a matter of course every time I do a Sprint head.
