What cheered me up today....
Re: WCMUT
Finishing work at 12:30. But I do that every Friday, and the prospect of possibly buying Scott's toy.

Re: Smile
Bought some of that jif cream stuff they are advertising to death at the mo, the one that supposedly effortlessly dissolves limescale, just wipe away. Yeah right thinks I, wipe away with a cold chisel probably. Anyway, I gave the basin taps a liberal soaking for an hour and bugger me it actually does what the advert says. I was so amazed that after I'd picked myself up off the floor I had to search the house for limescale deposits to play with.
Probably will get used for cleaning something.
Tried the universal degreaser as advertised by the irritating shouty bloke. (Hi, I'm an annoying twat and I'm here to shout at you about.... etc). Just spray on and wipe off it says. Well it does exatly that, wipes clean off the grease and dirt. As apposed to wiping the dirt and grease clean off like in the advert.

Havn't got round to trying it in the house yet.
Re: WCMUT
Well, yesterday actually....

A while back the downpipe joint on Orange went. I bodged it as best I could but the stud threads were that knackered I knew I'd be back. Last week it went again. I've been dithering about undecided whether to rip it off leaving the car immobile or try and source another and get it ready to fit. I'd pretty much decided on the latter, trip to Wins planned for Tuesday. Yesterday while over at the lockup something on the floor caught my eye, an exhaust manifold. Almost dismissed it as being off the spit until I remembered the spit has a toobular. Ah, that must be a 1500HL manifold from the job lot of bits I got. Result no 1.

2 studs already out and the third was sheared. 6 hours soaking in Rusty Nuts and it's out. Result no 2.

The sheared stud hole has the wrong thread, one is knackered and all are on the piss so I'm gonna get it professionally recoiled , or maybe just drilled if they want too much. I plan to check both faces for flatness and machine if needed too.

Bet the inlet / exhaust fixings on Orange are seized and a right s h one t to separate. Oh whats that shiney alloy thing on the shelf over there? That'll be the matching inlet manifold. Result no 3.
