10 reasons for buying a Sprint
E-bay
I think e-bay is a good place to find a car, though I'd never bid on a car based on the pictures and description alone. I usually phone to arrange a look, with the possibility of buying on the spot.
Not sure if this is within e-bay rules but who cares ?

Speaking of which..
anyone seen that Green Sprint ?
"Corrosion of chasiss rails the only reason for MOT failure"
Oh, is that all ?
seems he/she has "found" some rust on the sills and doors too.
Seen plenty of bids though.

Re: Speaking of which..
I'm sure he only put it on their to p on my fireworks, I did manage to sell the Russet Sprint tonight, although it did'nt make the reserve on ebay, got plenty of interest from it and one of those lucky callers is now the proud owner (enjoy it Reg).....

Re: Speaking of which..
I bought my Jensen sight unseen, noise unheard on eBay in a rash moment of impulse. Even though in the end he did me proud, it was certainly 'lesson learned'. Its definitely an extremely effective shop window though to get a huge number of interested parties "viewing' the goods in a relatively short space of time. They are afterall never as good as the description/photo's.

.......and for those of you who know I am known in certain circles as "Reg"; no, I haven't bought a poo coloured Sprint

A different kind of Reg...
I wont ask were that monicker came from Alun, Reg is a potential new member from Surrey and he's got a bargain. I think we should say something nice about Russet too make him feel welcome, besides my new(!) Sprint is Sandglow and that really is an awful colour.....
Aaaargh Brian!
You didnt swap your nice russett job for a a cack coloured curry one did ya?

Never mind...you dont see too much of the colour from inside the car. Sandglow does seem quite reasonable paint from the staying on and keeping rust off point of view...maybe the curry powder is corrosion resistant. After all you dont see many rusty cars in Injah.

Hope you gave Reg my details and I expect to see the sandglow job up here soon...after hols in early Sept.
Well I'll tell you anyway....
.....Reginald is my middle name, I tolerate Reg because everyone can pronounce it at first attempt........unlike Alun (pronounced "Alin"; Welsh you see). I have spent the best part of 40 years continually correcting everyone!

Alun, I sympathise Bryan is so much more acceptable than Brain, but it has it's advantages people remember YOUR name more easily once you have pointed out THEIR error!

Jon, I'll be up early in September to show you the Sandglow Sprint, it looks quite tatty but is basically sound, only needs a new sill, and a good clean up. I got nearly 8k worth of bills with the car so most mechanical components have been replaced or rebuilt over the last 8 years, also got a letter offering a monkey for the registration no. but think I will keep it (ROD *** R) as I quite like it. Unfortunately the Russet Rocket had to go, she would'nt let me keep both, the new owner lives slightly nearer to you and of course I gave him your name, but hopefully he wont need you too soon!!!
What questions would you ask before buying?
Another Reason
No one seems to have mentioned the vinyl roof!

Not only does it look cool, but it's also handy for placing tools on whilst working in the engine bay so as not to damage the guards! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
