chassis number 41
2.5Pi towing... anything!
Triumph 2000 with tow up to 1250kG... I like to think my trailer weighs 250kG, with the dolly weighing about 950kG.. so it will do it.

An anonomous 2.5 driving person told me to use the 2.5 rather than the 405 I used to use as he towed a 2000 on a trailer (with a 2.5) up that evil hill at Exeter at break neck speeds!

Personally I dont think the PI is geared low enough to pull away well with a car on the back, but its certainly got the weight, and is pretty steady.

Give me a call (07903903376) if you want to know more!
I'm now based in swindon

LPG works out about 8p / mile usually, but a bit more when towing!

Re: 2.5Pi towing... anything!
Thanks for the offer, it certainly is generous.
At the moment I favor jumping on a train with enough parts and tools to get it going and then breaking down with it. I spoke to the AA to make sure there were no exceptions for new cars or ones bought unseen or whatever and they said I'd be fine. The person is covered not his vehicle(s) so whatever car I sit in they will attend.

Now, what sort of breakdown won't they be able to fix roadside?

The other option is to go loaded up and drive the bugger back. I have almost complete sets of ignition, braking and cooling parts in stock <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
Re: AA cover
Breakdown/Recovery cover with the AA.
(Check your small print)

If there isn't a valid tax disc on the vehicle the AA can and will refuse recovery,

It was bought in to stop the trader's (Some not all) having cars delivered cars around the country for free.
