Together with some furry seat covers and furry dice you should be sorted.
<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> .. Indeed,hand painted as well,with a rope tied from the drivers door handle,then looped round the gearlever to keep the drivers door closed,so i know a bit of class when i see it!!..<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Sun Slats

#7 Post by the observer » Tue Mar 28, 2006 1:41 pm

Ha ha - beauty is in the eye of the beholder I say. My Broadspeed Sprint has a set of those - it gives the hot-hatch chav brigade something else to wonder about when I blast past them. Keeps the top of the back seats from turning to dust in the sun too.

Go on - buy a set - you know you want to!
Broadspeed

#9 Post by the observer » Tue Mar 28, 2006 4:52 pm

Yep - Delpht Blue. I'm the worlds worst (or should that be best?) procrastinator so a garage rebuild is taking about 3 years longer than it was supposed to which means my dolly lives too far away to get out and about with as often as I'd like.

Hello back! - I haven't looked on this forum for ages - the sandglow sprint on ebay got me thinking that one dolomite really isn't enough (had 3 at one stage) so I dropped in to see if there was any insider knowledge about it. Can't understand why if he wants 3.5k for it he wouldn't bother getting some decent pics?

BTW Your new addition to the fleet is probably my dream car! Fantastic find.
Compliment

#11 Post by the observer » Tue Mar 28, 2006 5:29 pm

Yeah - just realised how "grass is always greener" I must've sounded. Obviously meant dream car to go along with my current one. I like the idea of a really standard exterior with a license to do whatever you like under the bonnet. That's why I'm thinking I need an extra dolly (or two).... better get started on that garage again I suppose. Cheers for the motivation Lewis!

You must stick up some pics sometimes, I'd love to see it - only seen the one that was in Practical Classics in the "Broadspeed Bullits" article....very slick machine.

I'm looking forward to driving mine! S'been too long since I've been behind the wheel of a Sprint <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin">

Practical Classics

#14 Post by the observer » Tue Mar 28, 2006 11:12 pm

Going back a couple of years and my memories terrible at the best of times, but if that was the article with the Capri, Manta(?) and the Dolly at Bruntingthorpe, that'll be mine. It still looks the same because it's hardly been anywhere (more's the pity). There was a small pic on Brian Kitley's website last time I looked. The 2" SUs are one of the things mentioned as definite broadspeed additions in the newspaper article that came with the car so they have to stay - it was reviewed by a local paper when it was new (and owned by the MD of the local BL dealership). The reworked exhaust probably lasted as long as most mild steel ones, but it's got a Janspeed on it at the mo so all's not lost. I'm in Sth London and the car's in Notts, but next time I'm up there I'll try and remember to grab some pics. Hope you're having fun in yours soon.
Ha! Got that article, was going to scan it tomorrow and stick it up. Mine has a full Janspeed too, backbox is blowing in the side though....

Interesting bits of history with that car then, to say the least! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... lasses.gif ALT="8)">
