Not a Dolly, but....

#1 Post by morebhp » Mon May 22, 2006 5:38 pm

This Spitfire is being sold by the bloke I bought my Dolly V8 from.

When he delivered my Dolly he showed me a number of photos of his pride and joy (spitfire), and it looks lovely. He reckoned it's quicker than my V8 too, and wind in the hair.

Bit of (expensive!) fun for anyone? Tax-ex as well...
I really don't see what all the fuss is about. £4300 is alot of wedge. God knows what it handles like with one of them engines in. A mildly fettled Sprint engine would put out 20bhp more and weigh considerably less. He hasn't mentioned what brakes he is running which is kind of worrying. Probably GT6.
V8 camper van sounds interesting though.
£4,300 and he couldn't even be bothered to drag it out of the garage for some decent photos!

All true...

All I can say is that he had the same attitude when he was flogging the Dolomite V8...

But that worked distinctly to my advantage
