I'd rather give you the £12 Adam. The O/d was supposed to be for your car. You will end up paying 5 times that much when you really want one! Still, its yours not mine so fill your boots!
That's the trouble with youth Scott...easy come, easy go.

The precedent you will set here Adam is the reluctance for anyone else to consider helping you out as Scott did with the overdrive in the future.
True. I did refrain myself earlier, especially as Scott has really put him self out.
Still at least you had the testicular capacity to tell him.

Its in my nature to assume that people will use it for the purpose in which they first stated. If Adam had initially said that he wanted an overdrive in order to sell it on ebay, I doubt whether I would have donated it. I am more miffed at the fact that Adam either didn't consider I would be a bit pissed or did consider it and thought what the hell!

Much the same as when you sold that wing to the guy at cost Alun. We do learn from these moments in our life.

Adam, I know the government don't make it particularly easy for people from normal working class backgrounds to go into Higher Ed, believe me, I've been there myself with absolutely no support (and I mean zero) from either parent. I ended up working two jobs just to try and get by. What I'm trying to say is be prepared to do the same because flogging bits and bobs isn't going to get you through 3 years.
True. Any money you might glean from these odds and ends is literally just a weeks food bill or less.......

Been at it two years, still trying to smooth my finances out (no bank debt mind, just the student loan! )
