#1 Post by Leeds Sprint » Sat Sep 02, 2006 12:56 pm

Hello All

Do you reckon these will fit an 1850? Are those other bits in the picture the spring seats?
Bugger, I was going to bid on these as Little White Dolly front end is a bit tired in the springy department. No worries, I won't bid against you Chris

Cheers Ken. My 1850 has just about the worst shocks I have ever seen. Real touch and go in the corners. I'll let you all know how I get on with the bid.
Thanks
Excellent! I won the Shocks. I think £36 is a fair price. That's better than the £176 that Rimmer Brothers sell them for.
Never seen them in blue before. Do Rimmers sell these ones or just the yellow adjustable ones?

After a few months the yellow ones end up being unadjustable monotube shocks anyway so these ones look like they will do the job just as well and alot cheaper.
Yeah.... Just looking for some rear ones now. I had no idea they weren't adjustable though. Does it matter if the ones at the back are the adjustable ones or not?

Just as well they can't be adjusted. My brother pointed out that that I spent two years with the shocks on my mountain bike adjusted so loose that they probably were just dead weight.
Won't make a difference really. If you find they are a bit wallowy, you could always go for a slightly stiffer spring. I would imagine spax make them slightly stiffer than oem anyway.
