#1 Post by Martin VRK470S » Sat Mar 27, 2004 4:55 pm

Hi,
Anyone know of a good source for a set of poly bushes for a Sprint. Rimmers are asking £150 ish is that about the right sort of money?
I believe I am right in saying that Jigsaw are the only distributor for the Dolomite Sprint polybush set at the moment. In fact they have only just been made for the Dolomite Sprint. My car has just had the first batch fitted. I'll see if I can find a price for the full set in amongst my many invoices!
I've just tried fitting a Rimmers rear kit and they are the wrong size. I could see the brackets spreading as I pushed the bushes into place.

I would recommend Chris Witor's as his are the real thing.

I don't know what the Rimmers kit gives you but my invoice from Jigsaw shows:

Polybush suspension bush kit: £168.30
Polybush suspension bush kit to suit subframe (Top bush, bottom bush, front and bottom bush rear (kit not included in Jigsaw Dolomite Kit) £43.48
I think its about that sort of cost from any of the above named suppliers.

I'm not saying theres anything wrong with the Jigsaw bushes (I just havent tried them) but I can recommend the Chris Witor ones - I just removed my rear axle upper tie bars for the first time in about 8 years and the superflex bushes have very little wear in them!
Rimmers have just credited me for the bushes that don't fit - rear trailing arm front & back.

At least they are admitting guilt and refunding or getting stuff fixed.
