Front suspension - shim plates?

Hi,<br>
I have just dismantled my front suspension on my Sprint.<br>
I have found that the front suspension camber shim plates are missing - instead there are 2 washers on each of the 3 locating bolts instead.<br>
My car is a 1973 Sprint.<br>
Did early sprints have this set up?<br>

Mine dolomites have all had shim plates, including a 1974 dolomite.<br>

However, washers will do the same job, but do'nt look as good.
