Sprint wheel nuts

#1 Post by triumphsonthebrain » Wed Jul 12, 2006 4:46 pm

I've sent this in to the club classifieds but thought that this might be quicker.
Help!

Can anyone out there help me.

I need a set of 3/8" sprint wheel nuts. Someone elso took a shine to mine, along with the wheels. I have got some more wheels from the usual source (ebay) but so far can't get hold of more wheel nuts.

I have a full set of 7/16" nuts if anyone wants to swap or if anyone justs wants to sell a set.

Thanks - The summer's running out and there's all them pesky teenagers in their Corsa's to wind up !
Please contact Graham at graham_hope@tiscali.co.uk or call 0208 421 5712 (eves)
Just thought, alternatively I could change the studs to the 7/16" ones, anyone have any lying around?

Change the studs and you won't have to get stressed about them snapping. I got a pair of fronts off ebay a while back for £1. Saying that if you're in a hurry that's probably not much help. You can get studs from loads of places. Rimmers is the obvious one, but Speedshack is another that springs to mind and might be cheaper.
Thanks David, i'll check speedshack out, I always break out in a sweat when I have to call Rimmers, been using them for years and ALWAYS found them expensive, definitely the last resort.

So is it best to change 3/8" studs to 7/16"? I've had one shear off, and i was just tigtening up the nut after changing brake pads <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

Just in the process of doing that to mine after two have them snapped at Rockingham. Quite what they were doing on a race-car in the first place I'll never know.
