Sprint Fast road spring rates
Looking to go for the AVO fully adjustable set up from Jigsaw racing. Struggling with spring rates though.<br>
<br>
Car will ultimately be a fast road item with maybe the odd track day.<br>
<br>
Wish to keep my teeth in place for a bit longer so I was going to go with 330lbs fronts 175lb rears.<br>
<br>
Will my teeth survive such a setup!!!!!<br>
<br>
Also has anyone put bigger antiroll bars on front and rear to reduce roll.<br>

Yes poly bushing everything plus aluminium mounts for steering rack.<br>

I'd start by doing one thing at a time. Polybushing the whole car will make it feel a fair bit firmer anyway, as will the rack mounts. I'd try it with the bushes before going for anything else. I think the suggested order for changing suspension is:<br>

Anything....
stiffer than 200 and more than one inch lowered makes the car unsuitable for road use.<br>

I look at my standard sprint set up and it looks like a drop of around a foot is in order. An exageration maybe but it just looks daft at the moment.<br>

Basically anything over an inch will ground the car on pretty much anything thicker than a penny. The car was designed with that much suspension in mind, and even 1" lower makes a really big difference to the handling. I think it also alters the front suspension geometry, putting the camber off and causing a bit of tramlining on bumpy roads. <br>

Running taller than standard (I think 75 profile) tyres will fill the wheelarches a bit better. But your best option is to use adjustable platfrom shocks, and screw them down which will compress the soft part of your spring first, increasing the spring rate and lowering the ride height at the same time.

Mine was lowered a good 3 inches, if not more.<br>

I have...
a 200 lb orange spring one inch lower car...<br>
Its fun and handles well, grounds on bad speed bumps and needs care and feels quite taught.<br>
The std cars I have are a bit softer and feel nicer but lean a bit. I wouldnt actually bother changing from std if everything esle is new/good.<br>
Triumph got a good comprompise with what they had at the time...<br>
I have several std dollies too and the Sprint wheels make the biggest difference.<br>

If its come off a jack and hasn't move the front sits alot higher due to the wheels tucking under.
