Ball Joint Dust Covers

#1 Post by alan bond » Fri Sep 08, 2006 11:19 pm

Is anyone aware of where I can obtain some ball joint dust covers. The Toledo was due for an MOT tomorrow but after a visit by Justyn and the words "that aint got a chance of passing" I will cancel the MOT accordingly becuase I dont really want to pay 42 quid to be told something that I have been told for free 12 hours before. Pretty much all of the rubber dust covers are perished.
Thanks
Alun is right, we have upper & lower BJ boots.
I don't think it is an MOT fail anymore if the boot is split, only if there is play in the joint, not 100% certain, but someone like SprintV8 will know (MOT Tester)
Even so, it doesn't create a very good impression, split boot, shgrit in the joint, wear, lift, closer inspection etc etc. Tis why i've just replaced all BJ boots on XAA in prep for MOT, they were in a right state, joints were OK though
