Re: Volvo Rads Again
I think it was a 760 Martin. I'll have the car on the trailer if you want a picture or dimensions. I've got to replace mine though as I've been told off about it protruding below the valance. Will be moving to a Transit Rad I think.
Re: Volvo Rads Again
If you can take some pics & dims that would be useful Scott. Do they have the oil cooler incorporated in them?

Do they do a good job as I'm really pi**ed off with my temp. gauge floating around the 100 -110 mark when I'm on track.

Edit: When are you thinking of changing your rad?

Can anyone tell me what issue of DM this was covered in. I've looked through a few of them but can't find the article.

Re: Volvo Rads Again
No worries Martin. I knew you weren't having a go. I would have had it done if it hadn't been for this stupid brake cylinder leaking
Re: Volvo Rads Again
Looking at the Volvo rad pic in DM 105 (page 16), there isn't an outlet on the top right for the small hose. Do you need this or can you just blank off the stat housing?

What are the two small outlets on the right?

Re: Volvo Rads Again
Ok so I went to the scrappy & bought a rad, I had a choice of either so I went for the manual without the oil cooler. Got home & tried it in the Sprint. Fits lovely width ways, but with the bottom of the rad resting on the valance/spoiler there is about 1½" to 2" above the bonnet line. I thought these rads fitted straight in?

Re: Volvo Rads Again
I thought Scott had a problem with another racer (Whinger) at Brand's something to do with the rad sticking out of the bottom of the engine bay?.
Re: Volvo Rads Again
Sorry Martin. Been away for a few days. I had to cut the spoiler and take away a bit of the valance.
Here's some pics.
Ah! I see, did you use the outlet half way down the RH side of the rad for the small hose to the stat housing?
