Is it possible to get these? Anyone got a NOS pair spirited away?
I have, but they're not for sale. They could be used to produce a pattern for copies, but I've a feeling we've already had some made. Is that right, Malc?

Bill Shankland is the man to see, he had them remade when he first restored DAF I believe and the company probably still has the pattern on computer.

I had a complete nightmare getting them 15 years ago, so the chances now will be pretty damn slim I reckon, but they do make the car look pukka though. laser cutting the only option here I think.

Mr tinweevil - just a guess, the one in DM, now yours?

lovely cars. still gutted mine got squished. stick a webasto roof in, and a picnic basket rack on the boot (all chrome, and mountings flush on the boot rather than a few inches in the air), and some square spots inset in the grilles, and it'll look just like mine used to. awesome!
Nah not for me. The Treasurer of Club Triumph has his SE at West Sussex Restorations at the moment. As they are friends of mine and know I'm into Dolomites they asked for some help. The side stripes currently on it are home made and look it. It's had some really poor work done on it by a 'professional body shop' in north london too. Huge amounts of tin rot under the paint. Don't ask who cos I don't know.

Suddenly Dollies are springing out of the woodwork down there, they've just finished the bodywork on a 1300. For anyone who has seen my car, imagine rot like my doors over the entire car. They saved it tho. A really nice looking Toledo has appeared, it's the nice brown rather than the poo colour. Terrible rot under the battery and a few comparably minor scabs may condemn it <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /frown.gif ALT=":("> . 4 door and not tax free unfortunately otherwise I'd have it.

They are also on the lookout for a complete square headlight dolly shell for another customers car, preferably in red, anyone got one?
Get you man to join TDC and we can help him out with a set of SE Stripes. We couldn't possibly have your man paying m'ship fees to another club but benefiting from the TDC's extensive remanufacturing operation now could we <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> . How times change, to think 15 years ago SE side stripes were a major problem, now thay are just a phonecall away <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> . Quite surprised the other club can't help, but of course they try and be all things to all people where as we concentrate on 'our cars <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

IIRC we were 'ball park' £75 going from memory, bit too busy to wade through old copies of DM at the mo.

If your man is ok to play in the arena at around this value + M'ship then I'll call our Manufacturers agent in the North to establish lead times <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">
