Grommets ...

#1 Post by Dolly Bird » Tue Jun 27, 2006 2:02 pm

Does anybody know where I can source some rubber grommets in good condition for my floor pans (the front footwells in particular)? Mine have seen much better days, which means that on occasion I do get rather a wet bottom This will, in all probability, eventually lead to saggy bits and holes where I don't want them

I personally have removed mine as they fell to bits. Why block up a perfectly good drain hole if it gets wet in there? If you still want grommets many a motor factor sells them at a very reasonable price. Just measure the appropriate hole first.

I've often wondered about taking them out myself, as the water seems to find its way in, but not out again. The same goes for the grommets in the cills! Leave in or take out is the quandry. What does everyone else do?
