But if your going to reshell

Surely you would be using the Sprint loom anyway.

Re: Re Shelling
About 10+ years ago, I reshelled a Sprint using a 1500TC donor shell (I think) - this was a complete bare shell job swapping over all parts.

As far as I can remember, it was quite straight forward to transfer all the parts - the only issues were related to various holes either missing or no longer needed..
i) internal roof 'grab handles' : the threads for these were in the wrong place.
ii) hole through bulkhead for the speedo cable was missing
iii) needed to drill holes in the floor for the exhaust hanging brackets
iv) needed to drill hole in doors for the chrome side trims.
v) at the back, there were holes for the chrome trim that were no longer needed (due to chrome trim around the back lights being different).

so all in all, not a huge drama.

Thanks for all of your advice guys. You will be pleased to know that I have acquired another sprint so any reshells of my sprint in boxes are on hold....In fact any work is on hold until I free up some space on the drive...that'll be bits of my collection on ebay soon then.
